You have to go all the way back to 1980 and the debut of\u00a0<strong>Ed Lynch<\/strong>\u00a0to find the third.<\/p>\n<p>Mota was acquired Monday for the everpopular\u00a0<strong>Player to be Named Later. Royce Ring 43<\/strong>\u00a0was optioned to Norfolk to make room for Mota.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly before\u00a0<strong>Carlos Beltran&#8217;s<\/strong>\u00a0heroics, the stadium scoreboard informed us that\u00a0<strong>Shawn Green<\/strong>would be arriving shortly, acquired, along with $6.3 million, from the Diamondbacks, for AAA lefty<strong>Evan MacLane.<\/strong>\u00a0One thing we shouldn&#8217;t expect is for Green&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>No. 15<\/strong>\u00a0jersey to accompany him: That belongs to Beltran.
