Super, whose run at becoming the 25th man on the roster for the sixth straight year ended today at thirtysomething, wore\u00a0<strong>47<\/strong>\u00a0as a tribute to former St. Louis teammate\u00a0<strong>John Mabry<\/strong>\u00a0than selflessly cast it aside for<strong>No. 11<\/strong>\u00a0when\u00a0<strong>Tom Glavine\u00a0<\/strong>arrived.<\/p>\n<p>Joe did it all: He played adequately everywhere he was asked to, got a big hit now and again, drove the fork lift to deliver supplies to 9-11 victims and earned a spot alongside\u00a0<strong>Rod Kanehl, Bob Bailor, Matt Franco and Jeff McKnight<\/strong>\u00a0on the Mets All-Time Versatile Scrub team. His departure also breaks the oldest\u00a0<strong>Trade Chain<\/strong>\u00a0in Met history, dating back to All-Versatile predecessor\u00a0<strong>Kevin Mitchell<\/strong>\u00a0in 1984.
