The unhappy second chapter of the Roger Cedeno Story came to a predictable end on Saturday when the Mets &#8220;traded&#8221; the embattled right fielder to St. Louis for two guys who probably won&#8217;t make the team, catcher\u00a0<strong>Chris Widger<\/strong>\u00a0and reserve infielder\u00a0<strong>Wilson Delgado.<\/strong>\u00a0The Mets also kicked in almost all of Cedeno&#8217;s considerable salary. We wish\u00a0<strong>No. 19<\/strong>\u00a0good luck in St. Louis; it wasn&#8217;t entirely his fault that the Mets overestimated his abilities, and we feel bad knowing that if fans made that distiction, it still sounded a lot like &#8220;Boo!&#8221; The upshot seems to bode well regarding a potential trade for Cleveland outfielder\u00a0<strong>Milton Bradley;<\/strong>\u00a0at the very least it may give\u00a0<strong>Eric Valent<\/strong>\u00a0a shot to be the lefty pinch-hitter they&#8217;ll need in Roger&#8217;s absense.
