Spring Training Roster

Nice update! I noticed a couple of typos in the ST roster. 26 is El Duque and 72 is Bostick. Also, he's not on the Mets.com roster, but Ivan Maldonado should be in camp and is #77. The transactions on Mets.com says he was invited, and if you look him up on CBS Sportsline, you can find his number. Finally, I want to close with a prediction. Now that Nieto is the 1B coach, we need a second bullpen catcher. Bullpen catchers usually get digits in the 50s, but there is only one free number in the 50s for two catchers (54). Looking at the full ST list, 20, 44, and 47 appear to be the only other vacant numbers that are commonly assigned. I will most likely be wrong, but maybe we'll see HoJo take up his familiar #20, freeing up a second number in the 50s for the other bullpen catcher.

Thanks for the updates and

Thanks for the updates and the help! Sorry if there was a delay between the writing of and publishing of the comment, still working out a few kinks.

Not listed at Mets.com, but

Not listed at Mets.com, but one of the papers said Ben Johnson will be in camp... perhaps he'll fill out #44.

#17

Not only won't the Mets retire Hernandez's 17, but they just keep assigning it to has-beens. Last year it was Newhan, now Fernando Tatis. I remember hearing Keith talk on the air about how he did not like guys like Kuo wearing 17.

Numbers

Tony Armas Jr signed a minor leaue deal today, I would have bet the house that he's older than 29.....
