2022’s Most Wanted

Updated–

Thanks to your help I’ve been able to assign unis to the below NRIs and staff. Noting here that David Peterson is back wearing No. 23 after losing it last season to Javier Baez. Jeff McNeil has taken his third number — 1 — as the Mets set aside 6 for Starling Marte; and Jeremy Hefner, who always wears a windbreaker anyway, is now listed in 55. The Mets list catching prospect in 95 but I swore I saw him in 75. Still looking for Fargas, who was 81 last go-round.

Non-roster pitchers: Steve Nogosek, Colin Holderman, Eric Orze, Felix Pena, Jose Rodriguez, Alex Claudio, Josh Walker, Rob Zastryzny

Non-roster position players: Nick Dini, Nick Meyer, Hayden Senger, Brett Baty, Daniel Palka, Matt Reynolds, Carlos Cortes, Jake Magnum

Richie posted this in this last thread that fills in a lot of the numbers:

I think the Mets let Brian Schneider go at the end of last season, and 22 seems to be vacant on Mayer’s list. He is not listed under the coaches section, either.

  3. Nick C says:

Yoel Monzon was just listed as a coach for the Mariners in Feb 2022…. I cannot seem to find him attached to Mets anywhere

  4. Gene F. says:

Travis Jankowski is in 16, according to the pictures on my teevee.

“…catching prospect in 95 but I swore I saw him in 75.” Huh? Does this individual have a name?

Does this individual have a name? Francisco Alvarez, perhaps?
Why not include that info in the post?

Jon has been running this site for 23 years. It is a fun website that he does an amazing job maintaining, as he makes no money from it. He is always open to getting help from the folks who following him. Tough to gauge tone in your comment, but there is no need to criticize his post. He was probably just in a hurry and didn’t include Alvarez’s first name.

      • Stu Baron says:

Not criticizing, just pointing out an oversight that still hasn’t been edited.

        • Matt B says:

It probably won’t be edited. Again, Jon runs this as a fun side project. And I think that we all knew who he meant, anyway. If you need absolute, up to date uniform numbers, I suggest a twitter site @numbersmlb.

They gave Bartolo Colon’s #40 away? Phooey.

  8. Matt B says:

    Joely Rodriguez given #30. I guess it’s official….Conforto won’t be back.
