Updated 2016 Roster

Big thanks to Kieran for his help filling in the roster with NRI assignments. Notable: Buddy Carlyle re-taking the 44 he wore in 2014 but lost to John Mayberry last year. Danny Muno, the first guy called up last year in 16, drops all the way to 81. Still awaiting the coaching assignments for Dan Warthen and Tom Goodwin as well as new bench coach Dick Scott. Late NRI additions Roger Bernandina (1?) and Raywilly Gomez (00??) also unaccounted for.

I’ll take a stab at it,

    1 R.Bernadina
9 D.Scott(he will be sitting next to Terry every day so why not sit next to him on the Numerical Roster too)
    22 T.Goodwin(swaps numbers with Plaw)
    38 Warthen
82 RayWilly(maybe he should get 00 with that awesome name!)

  2. Chris says:

Off-the-wall guess: Granderson switches to the #28 he wore with Detroit.
Scott takes #3, which he wore in his 3-game career with Oakland.

  3. Kieran says:

I’ll go with Bernadina (9 – the new Kirk), Gomez (82 – with the other guys who have no shot at the roster), Goodwin (22 – switch with Plaw), Scott and Warthen (23 and 28 either way – mostly isolating the coaches in the 20s rather than the usual 50s).

  4. Howie R says:

Looks like #58 will be available now. Unreal…..

  5. jrgame says:

The New York Post said that Blevins will wear #13 again this year.

  6. Chris says:

Taken with a grain of salt, Wikipedia lists:

    7–Roger Bernadina. Probably a typo, since d’Arnaud is still #7. I see Bernadina in #1 or #9.
    22–Tom Goodwin
    23–Dick Scott
    38–Dan Warthen
71–Raywilly Gomez (Xorge Carillo is no longer listed as a NRI)

  7. Richard says:

Ridiculous how the Mets continue to hold out so many numbers. Let Conforto take #8! Gary Carter retired after the 1992 season, made the HOF in 2003, and died in 2012. Let the number be worn by someone.

  8. Richard says:

By the way, how annoying is it that so many “good” numbers are worn by coaches? #10, #18, #22, #23, and to some extent, #38.
